Exploring Collaboration, Muhammadiyah University of Palembang Visits UWM

Widya Mataram University (UWM) received a visit from the Muhammadiyah University of Palembang (UM Palembang) at the UWM Integrated Campus, Banyuraden, Gamping, Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) on Monday (29/1/2024). The UM Palembang group was led by the Chancellor Dr. Abid Djazuli, S.E., M.M. received directly by the Chancellor of UWM Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec. Also participating in this visit was the Chair of the UM Palembang Daily Advisory Board (BPH), Dr. H. M. Idris, S.E., M.Sc., and Director of Postgraduate Programs Dr. Sri Rahayu, S.E., M.M.

In this case, the Chancellor of UM Palembang said that this visit was carried out to explore cooperation that could bring progress to the two universities. “Collaboration between the two universities has many benefits for both parties and contributes positively to the world of education as a whole,” he added.

The UWM Chancellor welcomed this visit. “By encouraging innovation, sharing knowledge, and building networks, collaboration between universities is the key to responding to future educational challenges and preparing competent young people to play an active role in development,” emphasized the former Chair of the Chancellor’s Forum Advisory Council.
