To realize internationalization and improve quality, Higher Education Institutions (PT) are required to collaborate with foreign HEIs. This is also done in the context of demands for globalization and the era of industrialization 4.0. PT collaborates according to the vision and mission as well as the capabilities of each PT, such as Widya Mataram University (UWM) which has a cultural vision.
In this regard, UWM together with 27 universities in Indonesia and 17 universities in DIY collaborated with Tomsk State University and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing of the MoU was carried out on Thursday (1/8/2019) at the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow, attended by the Head of Aptisi, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. M Budi Djatmiko, M.Si., MEI, and Head of L2 Dikti Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com.
UWM and Tomsk State University have similarities in terms of vision, namely focusing on cultural aspects to achieve superior campuses. Tomsk State University itself has a priority of educating broad-minded and cultured individuals capable of independent scientific and philosophical achievements. The university staff actively develops modern approaches and techniques in all areas of activity, preserving the traditions of predecessors and enhancing the status of the University.
The UWM delegation which includes Prof. Mahfud MD as Chair of the Yogyakarta Mataram Foundation (YMY), Dr. Inge Gunawan YMY Secretary, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec, UWM Chancellor and Prof. Dr. Ir. Ambar Rukmini, MP Deputy Chancellor I UWM also attended the Indonesia Business Forum at the Ritz Carlton Moscow hotel accompanying Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, Prof. Dr. Mahfud MD, SH., SU and high-ranking DIY officials.
